1962: Mr. Taufiq Uddin Ahmed established trading house T. Ahmed & Company and Popular agencies, a shipping and C&F agent in the port city Chittagong.

1970: ABC International began business undertakings in Dhaka providing import and export services of everyday essentials and commodities that would later transform into one of the country's largest textile and fabric marketing concerns.

1972: Galaxy Travel International was launched in Dhaka to provide travel solutions to the then newly independent Bangladesh business community. It gradually became one of the leading IATA approved travel agencies in Bangladesh

1980: Introducing Eastern Diplomatic Services, a duty-free shopping center to carter to the growing needs of an expanding diplomatic and foreign sector community in the country.

1988: Purabi General Insurance Company Ltd. started its journey with a view to facilitate the growing international trade to and from Bangladesh.

1989: Speedbird Express, a courier and express mail product of British Airways, was launched in Bangladesh by Galaxy Group.

1992: United Link Ltd. became the Passenger and Cargo General Sales Agent (GSA) of United Airlines (UA) of USA for the Bangladesh territory.

1995: Oryx Aviation Ltd. became the passenger and cargo General Sales Agent (GSA) of Qatar Airways (QR), a growing and dynamic middle-eastern carrier presently operating four flights a week to Dhaka. United Link Limited was appointed the GSA for Ansett Australian Airlines.

1996: An in-house freight forwarding and cargo handling unit was established to facilitate the growing sea and air cargo. acquire a new and bigger premises in the port city Chittagong.

2000: Galaxy World Logistics and Galaxy World Shipping was established to bring the various parts and divisions in the freight forwarding and shipping sectors under one umbrella. Opened at new Cargo Complex of the Dhaka International Airport.
